The monsoon, however, is the most challenging season where you see fungus or pigmentation appearing on your kitchen products. Furniture remains unaffected by the summer heat and monsoon as well. Read on to know how to take care of your products and pick the one you find best!

Tumblers and coffee mugs sunbathing!

SUNBATHING

This is the easiest and most effective way to ensure that your products remain in good shape. They apply to all category of products be it furniture, mats or kitchen products. All you need to do is wipe them clean with a cleaning solution or vinegar and set them out in sun for 4-5 hours. The duration for sunbathing can be altered depending on the product size and quantity. Also, it isn't necessary to wipe clean them you can simply set them out in the sun. You can sunbathe your products during summers for max 3 hours only.

MICROWAVE

Another way to maintain your kitchen products such as tumblers, coffee mugs etc. is you can microwave them after wash. Yes, you hear that right! Bamboo Products are microwave and dishwasher safe. So, once you have washed them clean you can microwave them for 30 seconds and there shall be no moisture left. No moisture means no problems!

OILING

This is a more traditional way to maintain bamboo where you can oil your products with any regular edible oil. One can also use beeswax instead of oil. Oiling keeps the moisture away and makes bamboo more heat resistant thus protecting from both cracks and fungus. Additionally, oiling gives a natural shining effect to the product.

Please note- The only common problem with bamboo products is fungus and pigmentation. Cracks are very rare.
